Call me a jane-of-all-trades or a multi-hyphen career gal, the point is that I’m hard to fit in one box. I come with a decade of experience as a software engineer, a foray into science blogging, a passion for reading and writing children’s books, an interest in copywriting and UX design, and an untreated obsession with online courses. The common thread here is that I love breaking complex concepts into simple products, whether it takes its shape in code, text, or design.
I constantly aim to replace my television time with the pursuit of (apparently) as many underpaid skills as humanly possible. So in addition to calling me a software engineer/writer, you could also call me a musician, artist, photographer, aquarist, balloon twister, baker, and the list goes on. I don’t sleep much.
These days, I spend my time programming cool solutions for difficult problems, furiously spinning tall tales about fictional characters, valiantly advocating for peace between my to-be-read list and my to-do list (a losing battle), and exploring the natural wonders of Southern California with my little hellions. I’m also trying to learn contact juggling, because juggling everything else wasn’t literal enough.
